Still Life with a Pie
In the middle of a table which is covered by a tablecloth on the right side, is a fruit pie surrounded by various kinds of fruit, drinking glasses and a plate with a spoon. The composition and several individual motifs are taken from Dutch models which we know from the works of Cornelis de Heem, Jan Dz. de Heem and their circle. J. Nieuwstraten has suggested that this is perhaps a free copy after some painting by Pauwel Gillemans the Elder, but not by a Dutch painter.
