Still Life with a Pumpkin, Grapes, a Citrus Fruit and Flowers

Home/Collections/Still Life with a Pumpkin, Grapes, a Citrus Fruit and Flowers

These two small canvases, painted with broad and strong strokes of the brush, are characteristic examples of the group of paintings by the painter with the initials P. N., whom we must identify as Pietro Navarra. The influence of Giovanni Paolo Spadino is particularly evident in the composition and the formal treatment. The paintings can be dated to between 1700 and 1715.
