Born ca. 1420 in Rimini, died in Bologna before 1470. Between 1441 and 1444 he worked in Padua with Francesco Squarcione. There is evidence that he lived in Bologna between 1461 and 1470. Two signed panels are extant, one from 1459 (Bologna, Museo di San Domenico), the other from 1461 (London, National Gallery), while many more can be reliably attributed to him. His style indicates above all the influence of Filippo Lippi and Benozzo Gozzoli, modified with still Gothic accents.
